Murat KavlakDr. Gillian did a fantastic job correcting my recurrent hiatal hernia and redoing my fundoplication originally done by another surgeon. My original surgery (done by someone else not connected to Dr. Gillian) never did my surgery correctly. For the last 15 years I've been telling numerous other doctors that my original surgery wasn't done correctly as I continued to have heartburn and reflux issues and still stuck taking PPIs twice daily, but no one believed me. Several months ago, I suddenly developed horrible heartburn and reflux (the worst I've ever experienced) and ended up on two types of acid reducers at extremely high doses. Other doctors I saw, at the time, didn't take me seriously. One doctor, who said he would perform diagnostic testing to collect empirical data to better assess my situation, suddenly dismissed me when I told him that my heartburn and reflux seemed to be responding to Nexium 40mg twice daily AND Pepcid 40mg twice daily - a temporary, not long-term sustainable fix, in my opinion. He abruptly said that, in this case, there was no further need for any testing nor treatment. When I saw doctor Gillian, who was highly recommended to me by both my primary doctor and gastroenterologist, he was the first doctor in the last 15 years to actually listen to and believe me! He is highly experienced and specialized in his field. Dr. Gillian performed my surgery two weeks ago (and had a big mess to fix - a lot of scar tissue) and I had an extremely smooth recovery, hardly any post op pain and able to transition from a liquid diet to semi-solid food quickly. The best part is, I am completely off of all PPIs and H2 blockers and heartburn and reflux free for the first time since high school! Thank you, Dr. Gillian for improving the quality of my life! If you need any kind of anti-reflux and/or GI hernia repair surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Gillian! He's the BEST!Posted on Google

Janice GordonI had LINX and hiatal hernia repair performed by Dr. Gillian in April 2024. I have had an excellent outcome and no reflux since day one. We traveled 3 hours away from our home to be seen by Dr. Gillian. I immediately felt comfortable with Dr Gillian and his wonderful office staff. I was well cared for throughout pre-op, surgery and overnight observation at the hospital. I am so thankful for Dr. Gillian and highly recommend him. As a nurse of 40+ years, I can be a tough critic. Avoria Jones-StancellMy son suffered with acid reflux for over two years. Loosing weight unable to keep food down and unable to sleep through the night. He was extremely uncomfortable day and night as food would rush up his esophagus at any time during the day. Meeting Dr. Gillian changed everything! Dr. Gillian was able to identify that my son had an anatomical issue. He performed a Nissen Fundoplication and Hernia repair. He has since healed from the surgery and is doing wonderful. For the first time in years he is able to sleep through the night and enjoying working out again. We are truly grateful to Dr. Gillian for taking the time to truly listen to the patient to get to the bottom of the issue. Dr. Gillian is highly skilled and I would recommend him time and time again for any Gastro issues one may have. Also, Dr. Gillian has the BEST team. Susan ShanahanIt's been almost two months since I had a Nissen Fundoplication operation performed by Dr. Gillian, who has been doing this type of surgery for over 30 years. After three weeks from the surgery date I was fully recovered as expected, and I am so happy to say that I no longer have to take a Prilosec pill almost daily for acid reflux. I can enjoy a glass of red wine with pasta and red sauce again! The surgery has changed my life for the better in so many ways. I can eat and sleep without being uncomfortable and Dr. Gillian and staff made that possible.
